Dear Minister
l have been practicing as a community developer volunteer at Ekurhuleni municipality Benoni ward 73 with the bachelor of social work. During that period l managed to initiate three youth co- operatives, men's forum where we dealt with gender based violence and many youth groups and we were on the process of getting the land from the mine nearby. l also worked with existing women co operatives where l was helping them to generate income for their families thereby fighting the spirit of dependency, but unfortunately l was never employed there but by another NGO. The issue now is that l cannot handle seeing hungry young people wandering up and down the streets seeing them makes me think that we would be far if only we had enough support. They have lost their jobs in this pandemic and things had gone from bad to worse. NYDA, TVET, UNISA, EKURHULENI MUNICIPALITY and other stake holders supported us but with me being unemployed they could not be supported enough then all the efforts were a failure. I now appeal to you minister to help my community they need me, I need them and I want them to succeed in life. If only l can be given the opportunity to develop them, to empower them while they generate income for their families many children will have something to eat before going to bed and young people will be empowered. Please employ me as a community developer in the area and by doing this you will not only be helping me but many many families of ward 73 and of Lindelani informal settlement to put food on their tables. Do it for them I m hungry to demonstrate my strong points they are hungry to shine and to make themselves and families proud. You are the only one who can authorize this, Thank you
