It would appear to the 2.3million firearm owners (and voters) in this country that had you been at the PPC vote (I believe that you are a member and are never seen at meetings?) You could have turned things around with your vote...
As it turned out, the vote to alienate and criminalise legal, law-abiding firearm owners was narrow enough to be a draw with opposition parties voting against the ANC ruling party juggernaut.
The chair (the dishonorable F.Beukman) then used his swing vote to push through this nasty legislation that will now criminalise ordinary citizens that plain forgot to renew their gun licenses. There are other anti-gunowner/anti-liberty ANC-driven plans disguised as combatting crime that are on the cards, but that story for another day...
Had you been there, you could have made the difference.
My wife and I both vote COPE..often to the amusement of our DA-voting family and friends.
You have shaken my loyalty in an organization that is supposed to STAND UP for my civil rights...self protection against criminals that are terrorising the community being THE MOST IMPORTANT of those rights!!!
How could you let us down so?
As a voter I expect a response!!!
