Dear Sir
I am keen to make contact with the relevant people within the Patriotic Alliance regarding the issues facing our Higher Education sector at present. I do believe that we need to vigourously/robustly pursue such, as matters of deep interest, and for the sustainable future of our beloved and beautiful country. I must confess upfront that I have zero inclination to even enter the arena of politics BUT as someone who has worked extensively across the HE sector over the past 2/3 decades, I do believe that we are not approaching pertinent issues faced by the sector with the seriousness it deserves. This could be attributed to the more pressing issues raised at the Madlanga Commission as well as the PPC hearings currently ongoing. However issues being raised within the sector for years now, remain largely unresolved and they continue to be issues of national importance. I watched and re-watched your session with the VC of one of our unis of Tech, and made the realisation that we are in no way serving this all-important sector if we do not proactively advocate for proper institutional audits of our public and private universities.
Would be happy to engage/discuss further.
Kind Regards
Ms Vinay Rajah
