Dear Minister Leon,
Congratulations on your appointment,
It's come to my attention that the visa backlogs specificially the PRP isnt being attended on a first come first serve basis. Why is this so? I have been waiting for my PRP application to be finalised since OCt 2018. Its been stuck at its current spot since Dec 2020. I have been calling and writing timeously but its hasn't moved at all, despite all the " re-escalation/follow up enquiries apparently being done." While I am glad for those person/s who have received feedback and finalization after waiting for just 2 years ( from submission) for their spousal visas/permit( which is what I am applying for), I am a little dejected and feel it is a little unfair for us/those who have submitted earlier and yet we have to wait much longer. I am also worried that our applications might never see the light of day if this is the case, because your dept will keep getting new applications.

Please sir, attend to the older applications first. There are many of us who did the applications properly and through legal channels and we are being left behind with no valid explanations goven whatsoever every time we call, except for " be patient" and yet we read/hear of cases like the above.

I appreciate the time you took to read my mail.
Thank you.
Warmly,
JVM
