Good evening Minister
I am winnie from winteveltd,
My father was working for a mine at mpumalanga, when he died his funds were supposed to have sent us to school but we did not get that money till today since 2003Good morning
Living Hands Umbrella Trust (LHUT) is unable to pay out the remaining balance to its beneficiaries, due to a misappropriation of funds brought about by Mr. J Arthur Brown (who is currently in jail and serving his sentence). The payments made are treated as once-off payments, until such time as more funds are made available to pay beneficiaries of Living Hands Umbrella Trust.
Currently the trust has a litigation pending against Old Mutual with the intention of recovering the stolen funds. The trustees cannot guarantee the success of the litigation and therefore no expectation is created but should this litigation be successful, beneficiaries will be notified and payment will be made to the beneficiaries with what money is recovered from the litigation. How Old Mutual is involved is because at the time the funds were stolen from LHUT, the funds were invested at Old Mutual. LHUT is holding Old Mutual accountable to those funds.
Please visit our website at: www.livinghandstrust.co.za where the trustees of Living Hands post status reports keeping the beneficiaries up to date with all that is happening within the trust. You will also find updates regarding the litigation between the current Trustees and Old Mutual.
