From as early as 1994 I have raised this with different water ministers but it is not improving. At Fort Beaufort town people access water 24/7 yet in the township not a day will end without water stoppages. Sometime we would have water for few hours then it end. We are alway informed that this is caused by water outrage and the question is why is this water outrage targets township. How at the same time water pipe that burst are the township water when our pipes are newer than towns which hardly burst? Amathole District Municipality do not seem care to rectify this.
