Dear Portfolio Committee on Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs,

I write on behalf of the residents of Cegcwana Village, Ward 8, to formally lodge a complaint against the Mnquma Municipality for its persistent failure to construct road infrastructure in our area and its exclusion of our community from the municipality’s Integrated Development Plan (IDP) as reported by Councillor Ngidana. The IDP is the primary strategic planning instrument that guides infrastructure development and resource allocation within the municipality. Despite repeated submissions, engagements, and appeals by our community representatives over the years, Cegcwana Village has been systematically excluded from key road infrastructure projects and programmes documented in the IDP.

We trust the Committee will act swiftly to protect our rights and promote fair development planning for all communities, including those in rural areas.
