Thank you for having the conviction to bring these allegations against Manana. From experience, I understand that the Police do little and in truth mostly nothing about this serious issue. Frankly to my knowledge, the Police will bribe the suspect/perpetrator to make the allegation disappear or go nowhere. Woman distrust the Police as a result and do not feel protected against violence.
It is such a shame that a woman has to do this in South Africa. It speaks volumes about the amount of useless and fearful men in South African society.
It is also indeed strange that the ANC has not acted in this matter, but given the prevailing culture, I would expect this. In South Africa, it takes a woman to do a mans job. Sadly this is becoming increasingly evident. Keep up the good work- the truth will come to light. You have already exposed it. Thx. Mark from Oxford
