Gooday we need assistance please i am a stroke survivor leftside



paralyzed gave my vechile to my daughter for her 21st lastyear



However we need licence renewed on myname but i have not done in



awhile due to stroke not being able to drive



So licence expired my daughter lost her job due to covid she is



in hospitality majeka house stellenbosch how do we do this now?



She has no income i jave to reapply for my dissability grant also



been waiting forever to do so due to covid.even if we can be



assisted with a temporRy one in meantime

Thank you for your mail & accept my acknowledgement for what you are/have had to deal with. With regards to your query about your vehicle:

The car is still on your name & you are responsible for registration renewal. Given your circumstances & options available in regulations I would suggest that you write a permission letter, mandating someone else to renew your car so that that person can do it on your behalf. It will be a late registration with a penalty attached for delayed registration since the validity period with “grace days” ends 21 days after 31 August. In this regard I am issuing a statement today & will be in touch with my counterpart, Min Mbalula as soon as the media release is issued – I will be requesting further validity extension. Once your car is registered again I will suggest that you do the transfer to your daughter.
