Dear Mr Dyantyi
Thank you for your service in the section 194 committee.
I am an attorney with more than 22 years post admission experience.
A very bad habit has crept into legal practice and I wish to implore you to assist to stop this habit.
The word "Advocate" is a title granted to a person after his/her admission as such. It is, however NEVER a form of address. When addressing an advocate or when referring to him/her, the only title which is used as a courtesy is "mister", "miss" or "mrs".
The advocates who are playing a roll in your committee should have brought this to your attention. I have also written to Ms Bawa along these lines.
Please refrain from furthering this horrible habit.
Rant over..
Kind Regards
jacques
