I am writing to bring to your attention a pressing issue regarding Isikhumbuzo Secondary School, located in Orange Farm Extension 2. This private institution, which receives government subsidies, has failed to pay its teachers for the past two months, specifically for December 2024 and January 2025. This ongoing situation has caused great concern as it directly affects the teachers' well-being and, more critically, the education of the students.

The lack of timely payment to educators is detrimental not only to the teachers but also to the learners, as the disruption in the teaching process significantly impairs their right to education. Currently, the children are not receiving adequate learning due to this issue.

This problem is not a recent development; it has been ongoing for several years, and the failure to address it has continued to undermine the school's ability to function effectively. The educators at Isikhumbuzo Secondary School have been patient, but their continued service without pay is no longer sustainable. Without immediate intervention from the government, the situation will likely worsen, potentially leading to further disruptions in the students' education.

Given the urgency of this matter, we respectfully request that the government intervene immediately to resolve the salary payment issue and ensure that such disruptions do not continue. The right to education for the children of Isikhumbuzo Secondary School is being compromised, and this situation must be rectified as soon as possible.

We trust that your office will take the necessary action to address this issue and provide a long-term solution to prevent its recurrence.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

Concerned Human Rights Activist
