Since September 2024, I have been trapped in a Home Affairs system error, unable to obtain my new ID after marriage. Despite contacting multiple Home Affairs departments and the Public Protector on 14 March 2025, I have received no response from either.

This complete inaction is causing severe disruption to my life. A basic system issue remains unresolved, and the institution meant to protect citizens has offered only silence. This fuels profound frustration and distrust.

Minister, I implore you to urgently investigate this systemic failure and the Public Protector's negligence. My ID application, blocked by an "old system" error, needs immediate clearing. We deserve a functional Home Affairs and a responsive Public Protector. I live in Cape Town
