Dear Dr LA Schreiber
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to raise a pressing concern regarding the prolonged processing time for South African passport applications in Foreign countries. My daughter was born in Bangkok, Thailand, and we submitted her application for a South African passport, a few months ago. However, we have been informed that the processing time can take anywhere from 6 to 12 months. This extended duration is causing significant distress.
We urgently need to travel to South Africa for important family reasons, and we cannot do so without our 6-month-old daughter. The current processing time is unacceptable and is causing undue hardship not only for us but also for other families in similar situations.
I kindly request that you look into this matter and explore possibilities to expedite the passport issuance process for such urgent cases. Ensuring a more efficient system would greatly alleviate the difficulties faced by families who are dependent on timely travel for critical reasons.
Your prompt attention and intervention in this matter would be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Sincerely,
Alisaundre Damoense
