URGENT COMPLAINT AND ASSISTANCE REQUIRED- UI0045095/4

Good day,

I am writing this email, hoping to find some resolution and assistance as I am at the end of the rope.

I have tried making contact with a few of your colleagues at the labour offices and the Director of the UIF Mr Dingaan Basimane with no luck.

Please may I ask you to take time and read the below complaint, as my Husband and I are being denied his UIF payout, of which he has contributed to this country since his first employment.

I have asked where or to whom this money will be directed to, if the rightful owner is being “robbed” of his contributions.

My contact details are as follows;

Sabelo Khumalo – 0736953038
Ntsebeng Rampa – 0719889976

I am hoping that you will assist in a speedy resolution.

Regards,
Ntsebeng Rampa

Good day,

It is now Monday, and I haven’t received any feedback from any of you on this email.

Mr Basimane, please may I have your direct superior’s contact details. You and your colleagues have displayed that you cannot resolve this issue for me.

What should a person resolve too? Running to social media to display yet again theft by the public office to it’s citizens?

Mr Basimane, if you are indeed the director of the UIF, you have an obligation to respond and offer a solution, it’s not a choice. Everyone in this mail is placed in the positions you are in to service us, and that should be very clear.

Good day,

Please note that we’ve been to the Labour offices, where Mr Phutumani Fihlani met my Husband, and showed him to the line that he needed to queue in to receive assistance.

I believe I requested in my email yesterday for intervention and resolution, I imagine the reason we have senior and top management is for critical decision making to be taken at certain junctures, notwithstanding the process that always needs to be followed and adhered too.

The reasons stated below by Ms Carien, have been addressed, we all know how we were affected by COVID.

- The dispute letter was submitted to the claims officer/clerk
- It was later revealed that the system automatically declined this on the 29th September 2021
- The initial visit to the Labour office in Roodepoort was on the 13th September 2021
- Without the system being checked, again I referenced this in the initial mail, we were told to come back on the 12 October 2021
- Why were given that date? Was this to deliberately ensure that we are placed outside the timeline submission date?
- The only “solution” that was given to us today is to come back on the 26 November, if no one has bothered to contact us, again why would this take so long? This is not acceptable.

I am again appealing to your teams to please give me a resolution to this, a resolution that is reflective of wanting to solution for someone that would like to access their CONTRIBUTIONS.

@dingaan.basimane@labour.gov.za , Mr Dingaan, please as the leader and director, may I get a response on the following;

• What steps are to be taken next
• The timeline thereof
• And who will be responsible for updates.

May I ask that you solution together as a team, and resolve. I have faith that between everyone on this mail, some agility and positive feedback will come teams that are placed to service us.

These are people’s livelihoods, and we cannot afford to play “ping-pong” and allow red-tape to hinder our ability to solution alternatively.

Thanks
Ntsebeng Rampa

Subject: URGENT COMPLAINT AND ASSISTANCE REQUIRED- UI0045095/4

Good day,

I hope this mail finds you all in good health.

I am rather disappointed as I write to you all, and hopefully some resolution with come out of this.

My husband and I went to the Roodepoort offices to claim for his UIF on the 12/10/2021, the initial visit was 3 weeks ago and we were told to come back yesterday.
Upon our arrival, we were simply told without any investigation or effort, that the submission is a month overdue from the 12 month period.

- The last month of employment was in June of 2020, during a “hard” lockdown period, where were we meant to obtain all these documents, including documents from his previous employer
- Working from home was instituted in many corporate companies, which made in well near impossible to walk into an office and request for documentation.
- I further obtained a contact number for Mr Dingaan 0826549006, who I believe in the Director at the UIF. He took my call and requested I call back at 15pm on yesterday 12/10/2021 , which I respectfully adhered to, given the understanding of busy schedules and meetings.
- He didn’t not have the courtesy to pick up my calls, and subsequently resorted to hanging up the line,
- I have sent a sms to him, and have not had a response.
- I have also tried to contact the offices of Marsha Bronkhorst with no luck!

I need to know what solution can be given here, I will not accept after many years of working and contributing that my Husband and I , are simply told that we can’t have OUR HARD EARNED money.
I am not interested in the department’s red tape, had the initial consultant checked and asked the relevant questions, they wouldn’t have given us a date that then placed us in a timeline outside of processing.

Every other government department granted extensions for everything else, how is this any different? Is because money is owed to us?

Can someone urgently deal with this matter as quickly and with the sensitivity it deserves. This has been a difficult time for all financially and would hate to think that money due to us, will not be paid, and if not, I’d like to know which pockets it will be directed too.

I trust that I will receive a response from any office competent enough to solution. I will escalate this matter to the highest office if required. This is not acceptable, leaves a very sour taste in one’s mouth and simply looks like daylight robbery.

I want to place this on record that these are contributions made to this country in our years of working, this is not a government grant owed to me.

Should I not receive any feedback by 12pm, I will escalate this to next office until this is resolved.
