It gives me great pleasure to write to you Mr Gigaba, hope that you can help me resolve the issue at hand.
My name is Neliswa Biyela who lives at Umlazi in Durban. Last year May 2017 I made an ID application at the Department of Home Affairs but every since that day I have not received it till today even a notification to show that it in progress. I fell like giving up but that was not a good solution, till this day i'm still going up and down and what worries me the most is the information they give me each time i visited them. no one cares to give me full details on my application. this year i did a follow up again and decided to visit other branches and tried to do a re-application but still the service was the same. if I'm attended by a person on that particular day they tell me to bring supporting documents I do that then come the next day it another story.
Minister I'm worried and time is moving I'm not in school due to this issue it affecting my performance even in sport hence I'm an athlete. I know the Department is working hard to give us all an equal and good service but I feel that sometimes they do not uphold to their job description and not even follow the Batho Pele principles.
It will give me great pleasure if you could investigate this issue and I'm looking forward to your response.
