Minister Cele, your police officers are disappointing us as a nation. Who are we supposed to run to in times of trouble, when they are the ones letting us down? I was involved in an accident last year, the 24/08/2018. A police van collided with my car, the police where at fault and I have proof. We counting days and it will be a year since the accident happened. There is a case opened, but i am being honest with you General, the detective handling the case does not take the matter serious at all. When she is not at work, everything on the case stops. She told me, she is making a file and sending it to court for decision and that was in May 2019, even today there is still no feedback. If it was me at fault I would have paid the price, but if it is our police they cover for each other. Documents disappear, they don't have computer at their work place to keep all the information.
At this present moment they are not worried about the damages they caused on my car. They do not worry, because they are collected at their houses with police vans to work and i have to use public transport to work. I have to pay triple the amount i was paying when i was using my own. I don't have money to pay lawyers to fight the state and no one is on my side. i do not understand why does it have to take years and years to get thing sorted when our police are at fault?
Please Minister, you the only hope I have in solving this matter. Even my job is at stake, it is not easy using public transport knowing you have a car, but you can't use cause of a mistake that was done by the police. It is also not easy to be paying the bank for something that you not using. All I want is the damages caused on my car to be paid and justice to be served.
