I was diagnosed by different drs with Major Depression Disorder,eg:)Dr van Niekerk Dr Bekker,Dr Pieterse FI,Dr Westmore,it is a wellknown fact that being of another race accept for Xhosa and sotho,you are not recognised in the department of correctional services.I've been in service at the DCS since 1996/07/31,working as a CC Corrections for 16 years,and I was removed as CC Corrections for reasons I still doesn't know,by the most feared Area Commissioner SA Manqele at the Goedemoed Management Area,This Area Commissioner doesn't make it a secret as his only promoting blacks and coloureds and other races can as well kiss they jobs goodbye.I'm on ill health retirement as from 2025/04/30,as adviced by the HRM,and this IHR is with full benefits,but surprisingly,i wasn't paid for the month of May 2025.during some qujeries at hr office Bethulie,it was said that I should take the matter up with the GEPF.And as a matter of fact,Im struggling to keep my head up high as there are financial obligations that I had to fulfill.
I was admitted on numerous occasions to Bloemcare Psychiatric Hospital for periods ranging from three to two weeks,and sick leave would follow after that.Dr Pieterse FI,my latest dr,who booked me sick from two to three months until the period was one year.There was some huge arguments and disagreements between myself and HR officials because timeous feedback wasn't provided to me since the policy on ill health retirement and temporary incapacity leave clearly outline that thirty (30) days is the maximum timeframe for feedback on TIL'S,but in this case,it was one (1) year before feedback was obtained and,some of the TIL'S was declined.SOME OF THE VERY TIL APPLICATIONS GOT LOST BY SOME INCOMPETENT INDIVIDUAL AND I HAD TO ARRANGE WITH THE DR FOR THE RE ISSUING OF THIS DOCUMENTS WHICH SHE DIDNT HAVE A PROBLEM TO DO.WITH SOME TILS BEING DECLINED,SOME PARTIALLY APPROVED,I INDICATED TO THE ARE COMMISSIONER,IF THIS TIL'S WAS DECLINED WITHIN THE 30 DAYS GRACE PERIOD,I WOULDVE REQUESTED THE DR INSTEAD OF UTILISING THE TIL,LET ME GO BACK TO WORK SEEN IN THE SITUATION THAT I MIGHT LOSE MONEY,BUT THAT FEEDBACK WAS GIVEN TO ME AFTER ONE YEAR.WHAT ALTERNATIVE CAN I PUT IN PLACE AS TO RESTORE WHAT WAS DONE TO ME NOW I STAND TO LOSE THREE TO FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND RAND FOR SOMEBODY ELSES CARELESSNESS AND DONT CARE ATTITUDE.
MINISTER GROENEWALD,THIS IS A LETTER TO YOU AS A LAST RESORT TO COME TO MY RESCUE IN RESOLVING THIS ISSUE.THE HCC (Me Dhlamini SM and the Area Commissioner the feared MANQELE SA)could not resolve this matter even though he promised that he will resolve this matter.
I really enjoyed my work,but after a year passed,DCS refered me to a occupational therapist in Aliwal North and a Specialist Psychiatrist,who adviced that I see ill health retirement as an option and not a must as DCS are saying by words of Mr Itumeleng at HRD Goedemoed and Thomas at HR.I would give anything to get my work back and I have no secrets when saying I enjoyed my work.I WISH YOU COULD BE OF HELP MINISTER.
