Good evening Leadership
Mme Mente can you please interfere on the issue of correctional services not absorbing the 2020/2021 trainees, this young lions were promised by Department of Correctional Services to be hired permanently after completion of their one year training as Correctional Officers, during the course of their training the Department hired ex SANDF Reservists on a permanent basis without full course of training as Correctional Officials. This Young Lions dedicated themselves to the department through the hard times of COVID19 only to be dumbed after their successful completion of their POD. This has left them broken, empty and hopeless. Most of this trainees are breadwinner from their respective families who left their jobs and grabbed the opportunity that would have changed their lives and settled for a stipend that would have turned as Salary at the end of their successful completion. The Department is dumping them and wants to hire a second batch of Ex SANDF RESERVISTS in their (trainees) place. This would be the first time ever that Department of Correctional Services through SASSETA would take student's train them as qualified Correctional Officials and dump them. This has even left the department's permanent employees unsettled. I can assure you that if this is left unresolved Government would have trained walking machines that would turn into real robbers, thieves that has gone through intensive training with bitterness.
Mme Mente I have trust in you that you'll attend this matter with urgency it requires.
Please you can respond to the email address attached hereto
Kind Regards
Lefa
