Dear Mr Nzimande
If possible, please could you assist or point me in the right direction.
ID (cannot be disclosed on a public platform)
STUDENT NUMBER: 201619425
COURSE: cert IT Systems Development
2016 – my brother applied for and received sponsorship from a company to do an IT course through Damelin College (he applied for the course directly through Damelin) they promised to find him employment once he finished the course
2017 – my brother finished an IT Systems course through Damelin College
2018 – March - he graduated and should have received a certificate so that he could find employment in his field of study.
2019 – July – We still do not have a certificate
The course is assessed and certified by Damelin and then for it be recognized it gets assessed and certified by MICT Seta
Please could you assist here as my brother has not been able to find employment in his field as he does not have the certification. It has been nearly 2 years of being pushed from Damelin to MICT Seta to Educor and still we have nothing.
Last week I spoke to Lyn Naidoo – GM for Damelin Cape Town and she confirmed that my brother has been assessed and just needs his certificate which should come from MICT Seta – I called them and spoke to Zolani – Regional Administrator and Raymond Dakuse Regional Advisor and was promised that this would be done with the utmost urgency. As per below correspondence there are now additional problems with an open ended delay – Zolani has tried to assist to the best of his ability but can only do so much.
PLEASE, Mr Nzimande, I am begging for your urgent assistance here. I am at my wits end with this. My brothers future lies with these people and they honestly don’t seem to care that they are holding him back.
Future replies will be published here.
