Dear Mr Thembelani Nxesi

I write this message in deep frustration as we have been Graduate Interns at the Eastern Cape Department of Education for a while and feel that we have been taken for a ride and exploited. Some have been Interns for more than 5 years and we believe that's illegal! We are now out of the system and some are even over the maximum specified age of Youth which is 35 and have zero chances of securing employment elsewhere. All we want is for the Department to absorb & employ us permanently as it is clear they need us otherwise why keep us for this long? We have taken the Department to CCMA for this unfair labor practice and now need your intervention as well. Thank you in advance as you will respond to our plea.
