. I have written emails and whatsapp messages to a number of ministers with regards to the appointment of candidates in different positions within their department. There have been a number of positions advertised in the communication space in different departments which I have been applying for. As this is a specialised choice of career, I have seen and noted with utterly dismay at the unprofessional behavior by the so called communication heads. Some of these positions are still open, Needless to say, some don't even have a relevant qualified individuals. It must be noted that communication is NOT journalism, there are many facets in the communication career including strategy and planning. In my view there should be a proper pairing of the job description and qualification unless we are perusing with the cadre deployment which hasn't taken us anywhere...Some of us have resolve to consulting which in the end, we assist the very same people whom should be heading the department based on their skills and knowledge
