My father applied for his mother's unabridged birth certificate over a year ago. After receiving one copy that had errors on it, he has waited almost 2 months for an amended copy which he still hasn't got. This may not seem like a long time for some, but for an 81 year old who wants to apply for an ancestral visa for him and his wife, to spend the last years of their lives with their children, a year is a long time to wait! This month 2 of their friends their age have died, and we are hoping against hope it's not one of them before they get this certificate. I would really appreciate anything you can do to get this certificate for my father.
