I have no alternative but to publicly request your help. For 2 years we are unable to obtain my son's unabridged birth certificate. We have been to home affairs so many times and each time we have filled out different forms and received different explanations as to why we can't get the document,we are told the documents were lost, or they need another form to any number of reasons. We are at our wits end. Our latest visit was to home affairs in Park Rynie (Scottburgh-KZN) where Noreen Dandala was assisting us but we have not be able to reach her and still have not received a response to where the unabridged birth certificate is. We thus cannot travel outside of SA because he needs the unabridged birth certificate. The school also needs it. What are we to do ? Can it really take 2 years?
