I am an ANC member and a former Deputy Chairperson of the ANCYL of Umzimkhulu Ward one (Umlonyana branch), I write this communication as a concerned member of Umzimkhulu ward one, following numerous meetings that are held in this ward whereby community members intend to remedy the issues this ward is facing in their own approach after multiple times they had engaged with the ANC Branch, ANC region and ANC Provincial leadership.

The community is starting to express and demonstrate their anger after it has not been satisfied about the approval of Mr Nkosinathi Madlala as an ANC ward counsellor as the ward knows that comrade Nkosinathi Madlala didn't win the elections as an ANC candidate but Snenhlanhla Duma who was his contestant won. The ANC prior the election last year (2021) had promised the ward that the rightful person will be reappointed, however, that hasn't happened.

The community is not happy and there is a growing number of meetings which are held in our ward by the ordinary community members and that brings a great concern which makes it so apparent that this issue needs a swift and a serious intervention hence these gatherings won't bring about positive results as people are starting to solve these issues on their own.

The Umzimkhulu ward one has made it very clear that they are rejecting comrade Nkosinathi Madlala as a ward counsellor and that is the cause of this growing number of these gatherings.

We really need your intervention to this matter hence it has already brought divisions in this ward and that tarnishes the ANC imagine which might even impact in a great los of votes in the next elections.

My plea is that you go and address these issues so that you give directive as to how this will be address.
