Good evening. I was wondering if you could assist me with a UIF claim. I was retrench in June 2020 during covird 19. I submitted a claim in July 2020 online by a friend. Did not get any feed back.

Then I ask my accountant to assist me in November 2020 with no luck. They then said she cannot issue it under her name. Submitted under my name all documents required. Still no luck. Every time we contact them they request some sort of document.

I went to Boksburg branch on the 9th March of where they requested another letter to confirm UI - 19 form details. They said i will recieve payment in the next 7 to 10 working days. I went back again today 23rd March to query why no payment. They then said my bank details is out of date. I then asked them how is it possible. I submitted it twice in 2020 online. They then tell me it is the sistem.

So went back to the bank for updated details and returned to UIF office with my new details. Now I must wait another 10 to forteen days.

What I cannot understand why is it that Uif network is not the same. Always differences when you query something.

I work all my life, 47 years. At a age off 66 years I must now wait for 9 months to get some money back from the UIF
