Good Day Minister of Education, I am a final year student at the University of the Freestate. The University have invoked a rule that no 4th year student with outstanding modules will be allowed to do their practical this year, they can only do the practical next year from Jan-March and graduate in Sept or Dec. It is a very good rule to have but, I feel that under special circumstance there are exceptions to the rule. As you know there were some pretty violent protests at this University. In 2016 the University was closed for more than 6 months and in 2017 the protests was disruptive during exams. Me and my fellow students feel that it is unfair towads us that we are penalized in our final year, to waist another year to get our digrees. We can handle the workload and can make arrangements with the schools to go and attend classes which will end by the end of April and to attend our exams, we will work all the outstanding hours back to the schools. We therefore ask your help with this problem, as future Teachers we have asked and beg to be allowed to do our practical and to finish with our degrees this year. Please help us to help u to fill the schools with pasionate Teachers. Thank you for your time.
