My daughter Amanda Ralo applied for the to do an administration course at Northlink. She received a letter confirming her bursary but when visiting Northlink there is no payment made. Appealing to Adv. Ramphadi he confirmed that as well. To date she could not start the course due to nonpayment of her bursary. The DG from your Department DHET failed to respond to my enquiry as always. Miss Klaas from NSFAS also failed to respond. I do not understand the failure of DHET. Act no 35 of 1995 stipulates duties of each individuals. My understanding is that we as victims are to be assisted not to be victimised. Department of Justice is to monitor and coordinate the implementation of TRC recommendation. DHET is responsible authority in implementing of education assistance and its Director General responsible for application and has delegated NSFAS to disbursing funds. Why is both the Minister and his DG fail to respond. Has this got something to do with undermining ordinary citizens of this country?
My son Qaqawuli Qaqambile Siphosethu Mana is at the College of Southern Cape he stays in George and attending from Mossel Bay. To go to the College he must get on the bus but due to the failure of TRC to confirm his application as pensioners we must continue payment for the bus and lunch. How is that? Kindly resolve this soon or they will drop out.
