His Excellency Zwelivelile Mandla Mandela,
The Tribal Chief of the MVEZO Traditional Council,

In the first place, let us extend our boundless greetings to the soul of the late and great leader of South Africa, Nelson Mandela. A leader who spent his fruitful life fighting oppression and racism and liberating man to elevate the position that God has bestowed upon him and inspired many of the free people of the world.

Unsurprisingly, the great behavior and character of late Mandela, which has always been respected by the Iranian people, is now reflected in your Excellency as his grandson and heir of his name, position, and culture.

Your Excellency’s position in supporting the oppressed and condemning terrorism in various forms is undoubtedly the continuation of your grandfather's clear and proud path.

Mr. Mandela,

The Iranian nation, who have always supported the struggle for the rights of the great nation of South Africa during the colonial and apartheid-era and honor June 16 as the International Day of Solidarity with the Struggling People of South Africa, are themselves one of the greatest victims of terrorism and violence in the world.

Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution which toppled the ruling tyrannical regime, terrorist groups have killed over 17000 of our civilians in different kinds of blind and targeted assassinations.

Having faced defeat from the Iranian people, the terrorists fled the country, but unfortunately, they were welcomed and resumed their crimes from the countries that have been claiming to defend human rights.

Unfortunately, those countries have turned a blind eye to those terrorists and their crimes due to their hostility to our country’s political system. This shameful behavior does not comply with any of the human rights standards. How could a number of groups which are defined as “terrorists” and killed thousands of people according to international documents, have official offices in those countries? Who is accountable for the survivors of the terror victims?

Mr. Mandela,

As the representative of the families of Iranian terror victims, we would like to convey our voice of oppression and concerns to you, who are a human rights activist and have the reputation of fairness, so that you can hear our voice free from all political disinformation and propaganda.

One of our commonalities is “feeling the pain of oppression and support of oppressors by human rights claimants.”

It will be a great honor and pleasure for us to meet the heir of Madiba. Therefore, we, on behalf of the families of 17,000 victims of terror in Iran, officially invite your Excellency and your esteemed wife (our dear compatriot) to visit our beautiful country, especially the shining shrine of the eighth Imam of Shias in Mashhad.

Sincerely,
Mohammad Javad Hasheminejad,
Secretary-General of Habilian Association (Families of Iranian Terror Victims)
