Dear Dr Leon
This is to bring to attention that the timeline for citizenship application is really too long in South Africa and there is no one to one communication with the Home Affairs Officer and the applicant.
It would be so easy if an immigration officer is assigned per application and the officer handling the files would communicate with the Applicants regarding the progress and if there are any missing documents, would ask to upload them. it's like a systematic digital approach with applicants having a username and password to check their application progress from time to time.
The application recently is a dead end with no clue whatsoever is happening with the application. The applicant just keeps on visiting the home affairs offices to receive the message that the application is in process. No timeline whatsoever given. The wait can be for years.
hoping to see the change soon.
