Lekae, Morena Malema.
I wanted to take your time to praise you and confess my adoration. I have studied works of great men in history. Men such as Malcolm X, Steve Biko, Mangaliso Sobukwe, Chris Hani, Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba and the likes.
I can say this without any fear of contradiction: You certainly fit the bill. You're appreciated and i hope that you're everything that most of us think you are. You're my namesake and you're from around my way in Limpopo.
We love you.
I wrote this unpolished piece for you:
Until the lions have their own historians, tales of the hunt have always glorified the hunter.
Even with odds stacked against you
Even with your own people refusing to acknowledge you
You came along a lone warrior from the North
A product of social injustices
A warrior that stands on the shoulders of giants
Mama Winnie and Peter Mokaba smile in their graves
You epitomizes the insatiable strength of our people
Within you boils the blood of our forebears who died wielding their swords in battle
Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown
The colonizers tremble at the mere mention of your name
You radiate the spirit of revolution for which our people yearn
You're the rightful heir to the throne that King Sekhukhune and Mampuru left vacant.
You stand tall even in the face of media propaganda
Your light shines the brightest as you lead your people into the promised land
You ask for no permission to defend your people
Your DNA remembers Harriet Tubman as she guided our people out of bondage.
I often look up to you with pride. Keep planting the seeds of revolution.
Victory will never be denied
Your destiny shall be met
You're your nation's chief in command.
Viva la revolucion!!
