Greetings Sir/Madam

I am Wandile Ndlovu from Howick in a township called Mpophomeni and I am 19 years of age. Mpophomeni has now become one of the most dangerous places around Howick and it is a pity because we have a police station right in the middle of it.

Different crimes happen everyday, and everyday a crime is reported but the perpetrators aren't always arrested. We have drug dealers that the police know about but non of them have been arrested. The community always complains about these drug dealers to the police but nothing is done.

Two years ago I went to report a domestic violence crime and the response I got was "Talk to your brother", which I think was very absurd because my life was in danger. Mpophomeni police officers don't do their work. As the community we don't even see the need of having a police station anymore if theft, burglary, selling of drugs, killings, domestic violence etc are gonna go on unattended.

I am asking that officials are sent to Mpophomeni police station and remind those police officers what their job is because it seems they are getting paid for no. It is even difficult to even go to a tuck shop nowadays, you always have to keep looking over your shoulder.

I wrote this email because I do not want to start a hashtag that is going to cause a riot. However, I would highly appreciate it if this email is taken into consideration.
