I Sethathi Lebohang hereby humbly request your intervention on the abuse he received from the SAPS department. My brother Thabang Clement Sethathi was employed as a police reservist at Wedela Police station in Carletonville from 1997 until the end of his life in 01 August. He was qualifying to be employed as a police officer or even a clerk as he was holding a Matric certificate and many certificates for the courses he attended at SAPS . My brother had a passion for SAPS work and was very committed and dedicated, all the newly appointed officials were taught work by him, all of them at the station. Many reservists who were employed after him were all permanently employed but however, he never lost any hope and continued serving the community without any complaint. He was always calling me for financial assistance as he was not getting any stipend or any form of remuneration. Dear minister, can't we get any form of compensation or re imbursement on the difficult and suffering my brother endured under SAPS. He finally had stress and died from stroke in Krugersdorp hospital as a result of the hardship and suffering he was going through after training all these people employed infront of him.
