Dear Ms Gwarube

I can only imagine how tough your job is. I read your open letter in the Daily Maverick and wanted to say thank you, as a mother, for taking a stand and holding accountable those in education who serve themselves instead of our children.

I truly believe that if we get the foundation phase right, our children will grow into confident thinkers - able to read with meaning, solve problems and work comfortably with maths. That will benefit all of us.
