Dear, Julius Sello Malema
I am writing to you from the KWAZULU-NATAL area South Coast Ward 99 Umkomaas.
I would like to express my appreciation for your ability to highlight problems within this country and point out solutions that are reasonable.
You relate to the people of South Africa on all levels, which is why I'm asking you be the voice for those who's voices have been supresses by self serving, arrogant and ill-qualified representative in Ward 99.
We have a Ward Councilor here who suppresses any community member that speak on public service delivery issues, she is in control of all whatsapp communications groups and removes anyone who isn't pro IFP or pro her.
She wants praise for work she gets paid to do and refuses to accept criticism for the lack of service delivery, transparency and ethical behavior.
A Ward Councilors is supposed to be neutral but instead she will remove anyone that is EFF or ANC affiliated, or even shows the slightest agreement with either party.
During the planned protest she used her position to incite panic and fear amongst community members when I took it upon myself to contact a EFF representative to ask them if they was aware of the rethoric and unnecessary panic Jane Naidoo was causing in ward 99 she said she was shocked by Jane's behavior as she had spoken to her and related that EFF plans on having a peaceful protest.
I was a target of ridicule when I pointed out time and again that the councilor was causing panic over nothing.
When I publicly praises the EFF'S success she ridiculed that's aswell.
We here at Ward 99 have been suffering with no service deliveryfrom the time she took over this Ward, not by merit but by a failed coalition test run.
Social media is one of the most used form of communication and information gathering so when we as community memebes are removed unfairly cause we ask for accountability and proper service delivery it is considered an infringement on our constitutional right of freedom of expression.
We have even taken her up with the Speaker of Ethekwini Municipality.
We now ask that the EFF highlight the suppression of voices on community platforms.
We were also told because we are rent payers we don't deserve a voice, I ask you is that fair?
It must be made known that our votes and status as South African citizens guarantees us the right to use our voices.
Every underprivileged persons voice should matter.
I know you understand the struggles of the everyday South Africans that wish for jobs and security.
I hope that you will be our voice loud and true.
Regards.
