TENDER REF: PE14/2011 - CV PROJECTS SA (PTY) LTD

We refer to the above-mentioned matter and previous correspondence herein. Kindly provide us with an update as to where the matter is. We were previously informed that payment would be made by 18 July 2024.

The unfortunate delay and lack of correspondence from the department has resulted in us having to sell our company on the 26th July 2024. For 10 years we had to use our own funds to pay suppliers with interest, for work done for the Department of Public Works in Humansdorp, while we waited for payment from the Department of Public Works.

On the 26th July 2024, Ouma Muthambi was supposed to return our call and provide us with an update after speaking to the Director General but unfortunately has not had the courtesy of returning our call.

We once again would like to put it on record that this claim has been with the department for over 10 years for additional works done and authorized by the department of public works in Humansdorp and the department has promised to settle the claim every year for the last 6 years. Every year we are told payment will be made by a certain date, but nothing has ever been paid. The department has been furnished with all supporting documents and previously in 2018 it was agreed that the matter will be settled out of court as indicated by the department's legal services section.

We humbly request a response in writing as to when will this matter be concluded by the Department of Public Works.
