Good morning

I hope and trust all is well.
This morning my salary was paid in and Gems has increased its fees.

I'm not the only teacher who has received less pay due to rising costs of living as well as medical aid increases.

We haven't received an increase of any kind from the department of education.

The agreed date of our 6 or 7% increase was meant to be last year.

We are buying data we are teaching online and now my salary has decreased by R400.

I'm a diabetic type 1 with an under performing thyroid.

I need that R400.

Why is GEMS allowed to increase its fees but we aren't allowed a salary increase that was agreed to 5 years ago.

We have lost how many teachers due Covid related sickness but we are forced to go to work.

I'm a diabetic and I was told no work no pay. While other teachers who are obese had 6 months leave at home last year.

We have the right to have our salaries increased. Regardless of what government says.
They earn a large amount of money each month and we as teachers are struggling to make ends meet.

I can't afford a house or a family because my salary of 13k is too little too sustain them.

I'm not the only teacher complaining.

We deserve GEMS to be reduced too last year's rates as well as our salary to be increased with danger pay.

Thank you
