Dear Mr Mac Kenzie - I trust this finds you well.

Requesting support for Border Badminton Junior Academy. After covid our coach started up the academy for children which is growing immensely. We now have 2 academies, the littlies as well as juniors. Parents have to date sponsored IPT tournaments around SA but it hasn’t been easy. Due to lack of funds, we had to pull out of the U17 this year. We would also like to ensure representation at all the major IPTs but hasn’t always been possible. We would like to expand the sport to other schools and districts in East London as well; while supporting our team. The parents and players have run various fundraising initiatives which is a help but doesn’t cover all the necessary costs involved.

We are hoping to make a real Border showing at the IPTs in 2025, with proper kit, well-trained team bringing their passion and enthusiasm.

I hope something can be done to assist our little team of U13, U15, U17 and U19 players. And also to uncover new talents & interest in the game.
