I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to seek your valuable support regarding a matter of great importance to my family. I am not sure if this is the appropriate channel, I am addressing this email to. I do apologies if it is not the right channel, and I would request that you forward it to the relevant parties.

My approach to local government and disaster management has fallen on deaf ears. This prompted me to seek help from a private entity such as yours. I do not have many options. I am in desperate need to build my home. I am a father of two, and live with their mother in a mud house. Our house has collapsed several times due to bad weather conditions. I have rebuilt several times. But it cannot hold up with the excessive rainy seasons. I have since tried to build with mortar and blocks, but have not been able to complete my house. This has been due to financial strains and lack of employment.

I fear for the safety of my family. My financial means to build my home are limited. I am not seeking any finances from you but the opportunity to be helped with building materials. Currently my structure is short of two windows, a door frame roofing timber, block lentils, cement, sand, stone and a pallet of blocks. The quantities are minimal according to my view. But I will seek for builder’s advice so that I can get the specific measurements and quantities.

I would really appreciate any support from you, before the rainy season begins. I am also willing to contribute any service to you that will serve as a means to giving back to you. I firmly believe that people can only grow stronger by helping each other. I am also willing to give you more information about me and my situation at your request. I can also send you pictures and am willing for any of your representatives to come view my home.

Thank you for your attention to this email. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Rodrick Mathew de-Bathe
