I am not sure if your think tank has thought about the following if not here's my two cents worth.

In order to save electricity , is it possible to switch off every second lamppost during off peak hours. This would save an enormous amount of energy , if not perhaps we should investigate the possibly on restructuring the way our street lights operate .

I look around and I see many small office building with the lights on and yet there is no activity in that building. Perhaps there is a reason for this but in time of crisis is it necessary for electricity to be consumed unwisely.

During our water shortage period in Cape Town it was widely advised to use water sparingly.
Adverts showed as to how we can save water such as report leaking facets etc
however during and even now we do not see any adverts emphasizing how to use electricity.
We need more public awareness and advertise vehemently.
