My cousin applied for a extension of her student visa on 26 September 2025. No response was received and it was escalated via VFS in January. To date she did not receive a response and cannot proceed with her studies. There is no clear way forward. There is a directive (Amendments to immigration directive No 22 of 2025) but there is different interpretation on whether it is applicable.
When attempting to clarify and to seek advise ,no phone is answered or automated responses direct you in a circle and eventually the call is terminated. When visiting the DHA office we are referred to VFS whom responds that they are wating for DHA. Urgent assistance will be appreciated.
