Our learners need a strong foundation so that they can do well in secondary schools. Primary educators must lay a strong foundation in terms of reading and writing, our learners cannot read and write. That is exactly their problem. I completed my standard five in 1995, our teacher trained us on reading and writing, today there is no reading at all. Educators are tasked with the compilation of files and attending more workshops.
