Dear Minister Hlabisa,
Let’s try to reduce tenders and return to in-house departmental work. Repairs of roads and potholes should be done in-house as used to be done. Restrictions to hiring of relatives (family members) in municipalities will go a long way at fighting corruption. I totally agree with you that if a municipality has, again and again, failed the auditor general’s test—that municipality must go through a re-election process.

Today when a person calls for help from the police or
calls for an ambulance he or she is told there’s not
enough vehicles. What causes lack of vehicles?
When a vehicle breaks down in these two entities
it is sent to the scrapyard because there are no
garage and mechanics to fix the vehicles. Money
is budgeted for repairs of vehicles but ends up
in official’s pockets. This must stop and you can
stop is fraudulent activity.
