In informing you of what happened to my armed robbery case [Case number 364/12/2020] opened on the 18th December 2020 at Booysens police station I am hereby indicating to you that no progress whatsoever has been made. The only thing that has happened was, I again got another, a different one [sms] from the police station saying SERG BO MTHEMBU will investigate my case. This after I lodged a complaint against a station commander[Colonel Basi] about his behavior after he said to me that I am stressing him out now when I called him. The call was just to inform him that the person who should pay me is not doing that anymore. I am also unhappy after he said I cannot be paid at the police station when this person wanted to do so. I was told that my complaint against Mr Basi would be investigated. Later I received an email that nothing wrong was found on the part of Mr Basi. A verbal arrangement was made that I would be paid for the cell phone that was stolen from me at a gun point but to date I have not been paid in full. Just after complaining to police authorities about his behavior I started getting police visits by three police officials with one of them being Mr Mokoena. I should express the fact that I am not feeling safe anymore since their surprise visit. And below is an sms and an email I received from Booysens police stations

Afternoon Mr Mampe



1. You are hereby informed that the investigation of the above mentioned complaint against the police had been completed.

2. During the investigation, the following had been discovered:

2.1. Robbery case as per Booysens cas 364-12-2020 is still under the investigation

2.2. The police are only concern with the investigation of the criminal case as per above case number, not with the civil matter .

2.3. The suspect who was arrested was released because he cannot be link with the crime (He is the Indian male and according to your statement, the actual suspect is a coloured male.

2.4. Colonel Basi submitted his statement to respond to your allegations, and there is no evidence detected to indicate any improper behavior on his part.

2.5. The complaint investigation is finalised at the station and is referred to Gauteng Provincial Commissioner(Gauteng inspectorate) who will make a final decision in this regard.
