Honourable Minister. I am grateful for your department's efforts to give the Vaal River the prioritised treatment it so much needs.
Madam, I urge from you to please make one calculated logic decision. Start with Standerton. This town is the main contributor of pollution to the Vaal and it is basically where the flow begins, at Grootdraai Dam. From there it is all downhill.
Madam R70 million was spent by DWS in 2016. I have an invoice that shows R90 000 was paid for a gate. The contractor left and yet the sewage runs free flow.

Madam please we have one water source. Please end your tenure with a CV stating : "I saved the Vaal."
