I want to expose standard bank of South Africa for the insurance fraud they running on mostly black people ,
They add so many insurances in your homeloan without permission to raise the premium or instalment to make it impossible for you pay , They target the accounts of the below poverty homeowners because they definitely know that they are struggling already so adding all the insurance is a sure way to make them not to be able to keep up with the instalments and all the money that they have paid already doesn't count because in the end they win passing judgements at court because chances are if you cannot afford to keep up with payments then you certainly not gonna afford big lawyers that intimidate you and only answer questions that they want and flatly ignore the others , on top of it the summons they sent doesn't even have the "intention notice to defend form " on purpose because they want you to not know so they can claim you never responded .

My mother called them out on it , and demanded an answer as to who consented the life insurance policy and as if that wasn't enough they debited the same account twice different amounts on both my parents names yet the account has one account number that to even get that account number was a struggle since the insurance is seperate from the homeloan account.
That was illegal and wrong they decided to refund only a part of those unlawful deductions that they made for years ,not all the money they took, when asked about it they send us from pillar to post until they said the account is frozen until further notice while they investigate two years passed with no communication from standard bank and then suddenly they send their big lawyers who are busy trying to repossess our home for none payment when they are the ones who said the account was blocked while in the mean time are refusing to refund the other money and are totally ignoring us .

Pretoria high court is as useless when we tried to call to file a notice to defend their phones are forever not working and the countless of emails we are sending no one bothers to reply and direct us to the right chanel for that .

Now the court judgement is next week and the court is still not getting back to us . To conclude the way I see it , being a pensioner and from a disadvantage background in South Africa is a crime and you deserve to be thrown in the street and have your home repossessed because the R1000 you can afford from your pension is not accepted at the bank.
