Dear Honorable Minister ,
I trust that you are doing well. I write to you as a Citizen of South Africa. Coming to what covid-19 has done to our country and the whole world I've been troubled by what we saw on the news and even read about when coming to our Borders. Truck drivers dying, people been delayed for days, lack of communication amongst government officials to passengers. Can the department have a Special Border Patrol Unit, who will be involved in monitoring, screening and checking of documents and by this it will help to ease traffic congestion. Agents will monitor buses, cars, taxis and trucks (Passengers) and if or when every document is verified and there's no detect of coronavirus that vehicle together with its passengers will be given a green sticker and placed at the window to pass the border. I am willing to lead the team it can be joining the Immigration or have a unit to do the work and let our soldiers monitor those who are entering our borders Illegally. What we seeing isn't lack of commitment but we need to have additional Unit to help ease the congestion in our Borders. In the next years all those entering our shores will have to be documented and their profile be shared with The SAPS for criminal records checks together with HEALTH if or when something happens to them. I am available to join and work for the department. I hope my email will find you and look forward to your response. Regards Mandla
