The average cost of our electricity in March 2025 was R1163 however since then the cost has gone up to R1687 which is a 45% increase!. Our average usage has remained the same at 375 units per month. How can this be justified? We are old age pensioners and cannot afford this type of increase!! The GNU and Eskom should be ashamed of themselves, but I do not expect you to understand as your costs are covered by the Taxpayer.The DA is suppose to fight these type of increases on behalf of their supporters, but we do not see any action from the DA. Why are we supporting the DA if you are not taking the time to keep our costs into consideration. We live in the KZN area of South Africa.
