Dear Gayton
I've caugh a few things lately, perhaps you have seen them too, but I wanted to highlight them just in case they flew by in your hectic schedule.
Someone did a video on South African land the other day, I wish I had recorded the url but the timeline sunk in.
The first people in SA were the Khoisan, then the Dutch settlers, (the Afrkaaners) THEN the Zulu and the Sotho. It was a dry historical timeline but it does go to the heart of this land distribution idea. With all the focus now internationally, I thougt I'd highlight this idea of the land occupation timeline to you as it supports your drive to have the Khoisan recognised as the original 'native people' of South Africa. From what I understood from the presentation, the Dutch settlers bargained land from the Khoisan and for the most part, lived in harmony with that tribe.
Hertov mentioned in an interview that he was encouraging you an Miamane to form some kind of alliance. I wanted to throw a vote towards that idea. Remember both the corprate and conscious voters of south africa look for common sense and authenticity. Action SA seemed authentic when they started, but somewhere along the way that fizzled. Miamane is a beautiful soul with optimistic ideas grounded in realism and if there was a vote today, I for one coul not choose between the two of you. As a united front, I think you would gain significant support and enthusiasm from many south africans.
THe DA has let its voter base down, an those voters are looking for a reasonable, rational group to get behind that is positively focused and forward-looking. I know you have bigger fish to fry right now, but perhaps you can park these thoughts for mulling over when you next have a break at the seaside. :-)
Please know that your support is growing nationally, from all backgrounds. My absolute dream would be you and Miamane together, with a trong relationship to Zulu royalty. I think that would be a winning combination - bringing all flavours together.
Wishing you all the best.
