My name is B, i would like to draw your attention to seriousness of fraud in the social grants system. This is the area where i suggest you strenthen your controls to save public funds from being misappropriated.

Fraud in the Social grant system can be managed if you employ more investigators and strengthen the internal audit section.

The current SOCPEN system is so weak that it cannot even detect the Sassa officials being fraudulently captured on the system. I can safely say that the system does not have adequate control mechanism to mitigate fraud and corruption at Sassa.

The current SASSA Frud Management Unit is dysfunctional and the Managemnt does not want it to exist and as a result they slowly and strategically take the resources from the unit in order to kill it.

The formation of Inspectorate from the DSD which is independent was suggested and formed but currently it is unable to function because it does not have the resources it needs to tackle this crimes.

I suggest that you capacitate both units to deal with fraud in the Social grant space
