Dear Leon Schreiber I would like to tell you about my experience this morning at the home affairs Offices in Rustenburg. I made an appointment for my sister to collect her ID and passport at 8:00. When I wanted to ask the official where to stand apon arrival since she stood in line last week but was unable to collect her docs, he rudely discarded me and told me to stand away. He then started communicating to the people in an African language only - my sister and I were the only white people there at the time. At 8:15 he started to allow people to go in again only speaking an African language, and when I wanted to know what is happening he told me I have to wait my turn. We waited until he called her name but I was not allowed to go in with her to assist although she is hard hearing and have a eye problem. I told the official if I ask a question I expect him to answer me respectfully. I have been sitting outside waiting for my sister for 45min hoping she is managing. It would have helped if the procedure is fixed taking away power from the official.
